Arizona Mayflower Society |
Greetings Arizona Mayflower Society Members,
Having already celebrated the Thanksgiving Day holiday and now entering the Christmas season, we are ever mindful that this is a time of giving and sharing.
We hope that you are enjoying the benefits of your membership in the Arizona Mayflower Society (AZMS) and the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD).
These might include the Mayflower Quarterly Magazine published by the GSMD that you receive. Locally we have two general membership meetings each year that include speakers.
Our AZMS donated books to five libraries in the state of Arizona that members and the general public find helpful as they research their Mayflower Pilgrim ancestors. This year at a cost of nearly $2,000 we updated the collection of these Silver and Pink Books at the libraries.
Plans are in the beginning phase for planning local events to commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the arrival in America of the Pilgrims on the Mayflower ship in November 1620.
On behalf of the AZMS membership your Executive Board has pledged $5,000 to support the $3,000,000 GSMD campaign to ensure the restoration of the National Pilgrim Memorial Meeting House, also called the First Parish Church, in Plymouth Massachusetts.
All of the above programs and services (General Operations, Books to Libraries, 400th Anniversary, and the First Parish Church) cost money and your donations are used to support them. So far we have received donations of over $4,000 in support of those activities this year.
If you have already made a tax-deductible donation, we thank you! If not, please consider supporting the Arizona Mayflower Society by making a voluntary donation today. Arizona Mayflower Society is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Thank you for considering the Arizona Mayflower Society as part of your year-end gift planning. May this be joy-filled Christmas season for you and your family.
